There is nothing like displaying your funky beach towels on the beach to cap the excitement and complete the fun on your outing. It is not just yourselves that you will be amusing with your imaginatively designed towel, but everyone there who will be seeing you. They are excellent topics to set off a pleasant conversation with people who love artistry and creativity. Who doesn't want to win such friends? You could be attracting the right kind of attention on the beach with the right funky beach towel.

Most funky beach towels feature famous images. These may be the logos or insignias of famous sports teams, world flags, famous persons, famous cartoon (Disney) characters, checker boards, chess boards, poker boards...they may even a monopoly board or a picture of your family, perhaps a snapshot of you in that new and smashing swim suit...which you can have custom printed on a beach towel.

Funky beach towels may be so artistically done (do an image search on Google) that you won't be able to resist framing and displaying them on the wall of your living room, or using them as attractive bed covers. And they cost much less than a real tapestry or art work. If your family, for instance is a great fan of the Phillies, hanging a Phillies beach towel on the wall will gosh the whole family.

Funky beach towels may also be funky in construction as well as design. You can purchase hooded beach towels for your kids to give them additional protection against the sun. There are also beach towels specially constructed to make changing clothes in public an easy thing to do. Simply tie the towel around you and you can proceed to switch clothes quickly.

Funky beach towels can be bought ready-made or customized. If you have them customized for you and you need them real quick, you will have to settle for printed or painted funky beach towels. If speed will not be an issue with you, you can settle for embroidered funky towels. Apart from the quickness, what is the difference between the two?

Obviously, for one, the design on printed beach towels won't last as long as that of an embroidered beach towel, even if the manufacturers of the towel happen to be using fiber reactive dyes to color the fabric. Incidentally the molecules of fiber reactive (FR) dyes bind with those of the cotton or polyester fabric. In this way, the color will not easily come off. But since the dyes don't really penetrate into the threads of the towel, they fade more easily than embroidered images. They also get bleached faster under the sun.

Another difference is that the chance for chemical residues coming off on your skin is greater with printed or painted funky towels. Although many dyes have been developed using organic materials, even if no toxic substances are present, the organic materials themselves may clog up your skin pores.
